Who am I

I’ve been taking Seth Godin’s Udemy course for freelancers. Its been great so far. In addition to “lectures” there are assignments to help capture ideas about your vision, brand, etc. Here is the 1st assignment:

What do you want to do? (Not your job, but your work, now, tomorrow, and in the future)* I want to use design to break the cycle of poverty and its effects, especially for women and children. Partner with organizations to find creative and visual solutions that foster community, connect people to resources and opportunities, heal and empower.

Who do you want to change, and how do you want to change them? I want to change the way low income, marginalized people feel about their lives and futures, and that of their families. I also want to change the way organizations and businesses in this space communicate what they do and who they are. I believe a collaborative open process is what’s needed instead of a top down approach which is what most people are used to.
